Thursday, August 27
Minnesota State Fair
We plan to go to the opening day of the Minnesota State Fair to kick off the wedding weekend with as much chaos as possible.
Witness the butter head carving, see the biggest pig and pumpkin of the year, and sample all things on-a-stick!
Who: All are welcome, but out-of-town guests who arrive early are especially encouraged to experience this uniquely Minnesotan event!
Where: Minnesota State Fairgrounds

This will likely be a morning to early afternoon event for a few hours
Friday, August 28
Welcome Party
Friday 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us for food, drinks, and music! Feel free to drop in for an hour or stay the whole time!
Where: Mina's childhood home

Who: Out-of-town guests encouraged to attend, but all are welcome.
Casual attire.
Saturday, August 29
Wedding Procession
Saturday 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
(we will depart at 2:00 pm, but would like to gather beforehand)
Accompany the bride and groom on a walk from Mina's childhood home to the wedding ceremony!
The procession will be a 1-mile walk through the Bryn Mawr neighborhood and the adjacent woods.
Where: Meet at Mina's childhood home

Who: Anyone who is comfortable with a 45-minute walk with a few sections of trail with uneven ground in the woods.
All others encouraged to meet us at the ceremony site below, where we will finish the walk
Wedding attire (feel free to bring separate shoes, if you'd like!)
Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Saturday 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Sit, stand, and witness the wedding of Mina and Sean!
Where: Theodore Wirth Pavilion
3275 Glenwood Avenue, Minneapolis, MN, 55406
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held in the Oak Grove south of the Pavilion
Reception and meal will be inside and around Pavilion building
Who: All guests!
Parking: Available across the street at Wirth Beach parking lot
*On-site handicap parking available near Pavilion entrance, accessed via service road
Wear whatever is comfortable and what makes you feel beautiful!

Sunday, August 30
Lake Day
Sunday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Hang out at the lake and enjoy a casual brunch together. Drop in or stay the whole time.
We will have tea, coffee, bagels (& GF options).
There will be a ceremonial canoe departure from the beach for the bride and groom
Where: Hidden Beach

Who: Friends, family, friends of friends, family of friends, whoever!
Out-of-town guests encouraged to attend, but all are welcome.

Other Things to Do
Minneapolis is a very bikeable city! If you have time we recommend renting bikes and exploring the city by bike, especailly riding around the city lakes.
Check out the the Walker Arts Center
Explore Theodore Wirth Park and Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden
Get a "José " or pancakes at Al's Breakfast
Go to the yellow room at the top of the Guthrie Arts Center
Have a picnic at Gold Medal Park and walk across the Stone Arch Bridge
Checkout the Lyndale Minneapolis Farmer's market on Saturday or Sunday mornings

Your presence is the perfect present. If you'd like to give us a separate monetary gift, a contribution to our honeymoon (canoeing in the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness), a down payment towards a future house (where you will hopefully visit us one day), or a future pottery studio (maybe Mina can make you a beautiful mug) would be appreciated and help us achieve those dreams!
